Online Counselling
In today's world, access to a mental health professional is easier than ever before. Finding your way to a counsellor's office may be impractical due to time constraints, physical limitations, disability issues or medical concerns. Online Counselling (web or mobile-based) provides the perfect alternative. Many people prefer to express highly personal issues from the comfort of their home, rather than attending a clinical setting; lessening a person's shame or guilt of divulging something they may perceive as embarrassing or strange.
An Online Counselling session helps people overcome obstacles to their well-being by collaboratively exploring strengths, skills and available resources. You may become more self-aware during the counselling process, allowing you to make healthy decisions, handle difficult situations more easily, and ultimately, reach your goals.
Online Counselling offers you a greater sense of confidentiality and anonymity. This can be reassuring if you feel nervous, embarrassed or fearful about talking through your problems, helping you to feel a greater degree of control.
People with a busy or hectic schedule receive equal access to emotional support. E.g. if you travel regularly, have significant work commitments or are a full-time carer etc. Sessions are a collaborative process where common goals are identified and formulated to inspire change or improve quality of life.

Pricing & Fees...
The cost of a 50-minute individual consultation is displayed via the bookings portal, before your first session with your Counsellor. The current scheduled fee for online (video consultation) services is $115.00.
Payment in Full is required at the time of booking via the online portal.
Gift Card options are also available for family, friends or colleagues. All session times are by appointment only.

Cancellation Policy
In order to provide a quality service, if you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, I ask that you give at least one full business day’s notice. If you provide less than one full business day’s notice and I cannot fill your appointment time with another client, you may be charged 50% of your full consultation fee. I will provide you with reminders, however it is your responsibility to manage your appointment times.
Cancellation (less than 24 hrs) - $57.50 (50% of full consultation fee)

Emergency & After Hours Coverage
Polaris Counselling does not have coverage for emergencies. In the case of an emergency, you should call 000 or contact your nearest hospital emergency department. Alternatively, you may call an agency called Lifeline which operates a 24-hour telephone crisis counselling service on 13 11 14. You are encouraged to share any after-hours emergencies as soon as possible with your counsellor.
